Handmade by Teena
Teena has been sewing since she was 8 years old and self-taught on sewing machines since she was 14. She has been quilting for 24 years and has made many quilts for family and friends.
Upcycling is second nature to Teena. With so many clothes and fabric discard to landfill each year, she believes that by sourcing materials from charity shops, she is giving it a second life, which is a far better environmental outcome for all.
Teena says;
Every time I make or design a quilt or bag, I imagine them being enjoyed by their new owner. Whether it be a lovely nursery set going into a newly decorated nursery, or travelling to the shops with their new funky market bag over their shoulder. It gives me great pleasure knowing that the product will be loved and cherished once again for many more years to come.
Teena’s work is beautifully crafted, and unique. Her market bags and quilt sets are of exceptional quality and value. She makes her products at her home in Bribie Island, Queensland.
Hope your sale goes well Teena, I love my bag. After spilling my coffee in it the other day it was a quick rinse and its back to normal.
They are great bags. Heck we even use one as a shopping bag in the supermarket. It certainly turns heads Lynda!
