pH testing strips are used for testing the acidity of your inoculated milk and/or preserves.
When making some cheeses such as Cultured Mozzarella and Provolone, the timing for adding the rennet and stretching of the curd is dependant on the acidity of the milk and culture mix in your pot.
Use as little as 1 cm at a time
Simply cut a small piece of the test strip, and touch to some inoculated milk in a spoon. The strip started “green and yellow” and very quickly changed to “dark pink and blue”, indicating a pH of 6.8 or even higher.
Suitable for testing pH from 3.5 to 6.8.
