Welcome to Little Green Workshops.
Our small family business is based in Melton, part of Greater Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We teach sustainable living courses at Melton South Community Centre, and also sell kits, supplies, and equipment online and have a range of sustainably made gifts and handmade soap for sale.
To ensure that your order reaches you before Christmas Day, please check our Christmas Shipping Cutoff Page to make sure that you choose the correct delivery option. This can save a lot of angst over whether your order will make it to you on time for the big day. Our carriers, Australia Post and Couriers Please, are usually under stress at this time of year, so please plan well ahead when ordering.
2017 Course Dates
After a terrific year of workshops, our course calendar is now complete for 2016. We are now focusing on the lead up to Christmas to ensure that new products are available and that all your orders arrive safe and sound before the big day.
Our Term One course dates will become available in mid-January 2017. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to be notified of the dates for Term 1, 2017.

We’re going through our yearly product consolidation, so Kim and I have decided to discontinue the eco toys on our site.
With limited stock, get quality eco-friendly toys for a bargain. Toys will not be reordered once out of stock. Get your eco toys here.
We’ve just put the finishing touches on our giving system, that I’ve named Little Green Points! Each order earns 1 point per AUD$2 spent, plus a 250 LGP bonus for creating your account & 250 LGP for leaving any product review. 100 LGP’s gives a 1 dollar discount when redeemed at the cart next visit.
We’ve been pondering for a while about how to consistently give back to all our new friends and followers, so think of this as Kim and my way of implementing that. Check out the Terms & Conditions for further details. Please note that you must create an account and be logged on at checkout to accrue points.
Lately, we’ve had so many requests to expand our shipping reach that we decided to open up shipping to Canada, Brazil, South Africa, the European Union, United Kingdom, and the United States, in addition to serving our Australian and New Zealand customers.
Just be aware that import duties may apply upon arrival in your country (e.g. GST, VAT, Customs duties etc.) Some products, like soap making & candle making kits and supplies, are unable to be shipped to some countries, so those items have excluded from the checkout where applicable.
Also, for your convenience, we’ve added a currency calculator that automatically detects which country you are viewing, however, all checkout prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).

We have Soap!
Kim and I have made so much soap lately that we decided to list a limited selection in the shop. We have some amazing bars on offer, all with a light fragrance and interesting patterns.
Our soap is hand-made with saponified vegetable oils using the same cold process method that we teach in our workshops. Each bar is cured for 6 weeks before being simply wrapped using recycled packaging. Buy the soap here.
If you are interested in learning more about cheese making, don’t forget that Gavin also has a cheese making blog titled “Little Green Cheese“, which has a wealth of information for the newbie home cheese maker. Oh, and by the way, he has a habit of calling his tribe the endearing term curd nerds. His readers seem to like it!
Soy Melt Kits and Soy Melts Now In Store
Kim has created three soy melt kits and has a line of soy melts that are ready to go for those who are time poor. Containing EcoSoya® wax and your choice of fragrance oils, each kit increases in quantity and price from the Mini Melt kit to the Deluxe. If you already know how to make these we have supplies available in the shop.
I know these are one of Kim’s favourite as she is burning them every day around the house! I love the scent as well. Read about what I had to say about soy melts in our recent blog post.
Soap Making Products Are Now In Store!
We have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a large range of soap making kits, soap making equipment, and supplies.
These are now available in the soap making section of our shop. The kits are great as gifts or for the beginner soap maker. These come with a comprehensive instructional booklet, tailored for each kit. There are also supplies for kit top-ups or for after workshop re-stocking.
