These sterile culture jars are ideal for keeping cheese-making cultures and moulds in the freezer, as they seal hermetically preventing any moisture or air in when closed firmly. This helps to prolong the life span of the contents.
When you open a culture sachet to take out a small amount for your cheesemaking, or yoghurt making, it is easier to see just how much you are using when you use a clear jar, and the jars of course seal far better than a sachet (even better than a ziplock bag).
Always allow jars of culture to come to room temperature before opening, and keep them closed as much as possible. The cultures and moulds will readily absorb moisture out of the air, which we try to reduce as much as possible.
These jars are exceptionally handy and using them to store cheese cultures is such a clever idea for sure.
Just what I have been looking for. It will make getting my culture out easier
